How Ailtware collects, uses and protects your information. The short version: our converters run entirely on your Windows PC, so your documents are never uploaded to us.
Effective date: August 2026
Ailtware ("we", "us", "our") develops desktop document-conversion software for Windows. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to purchases of our software.
Every Ailtware converter is a standalone Windows application. The documents you convert are processed locally on your own PC and are never uploaded to our servers. We cannot see, read or store the contents of the files you convert.
All payments are processed by Avangate (2Checkout S.à r.l. / Avangate B.V.), our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Ailtware does not store your full card number; card data is handled entirely by Avangate under PCI-DSS compliance. Avangate's handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.
We use Google Analytics (gtag.js) to collect anonymous usage statistics. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by disabling cookies in your browser settings.
We keep order and license records for as long as needed to provide your license and to meet tax and legal obligations (typically the period required by applicable law). Support emails are retained for the duration of our relationship plus a reasonable period afterward.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/EEA under the GDPR or California under the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@ailtware.com.
Our products and website are intended for business and professional users and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Because we work with Avangate and Google, your data may be processed outside your country of residence — including in the United States and the European Union — under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Effective date".
